This success was recently acknowledged by the Triangle Business Journal. 2nd Annual Americana Festival Sunday, September 20
The 2nd Annual Governors Village Americana Festival will be held this Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm at the Meadow Park stadium in Governors Park. All residents of Governors Forest, Village, Park, Townes and Lake are invited to come and enjoy an exciting afternoon of free, live music. Annual Governors Village Pool Party Scheduled for August 22
The Governors Village Social Committee has announced the date and time for its annual Pool Party. On August 22, 2015, residents can come to the Governors Village Pool in Governors Park for food and fun. This year's paty will be catered by Nana Taco. Superior Court Judge's Struggle Gains National Attention
Every 4 minutes, someone in the U.S is diagnosed with some type of blood cancer. Bone marrow transplants offer the best chance for survival for those affliected by these conditions. Superior Court Judge Carl Fox is battling blood cancer, but has not been silent about his fight. Bean & Barrel's 'Save the Fox' Event Registers 44 New Donors, Raises
Superior Court Judge Carl Fox was diagnosed with blood cancer earlier this year and is currently undergoing treatments. He is also in need of a bone marrow tranfusion, but no match has been found for him as of yet. To support Judge Fox's search for a donor match and to help raise awareness about blood cancers, Bean & Barrel held a special donor registration event. On Tuesday, July 7th, Bean and Barrel restaurant in Governors Village will hold a Bone Marrow and in partnership with Delete Blood Cancer. The event which will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm offers local people the opportunity to register as donors, learn about being a donor, and support the effort to register more donors.
